INFRASTRUCTURE
INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES REFER TO OIL, PETROCHEMICAL, MARITIME, MANUFACTURING AND RELATED SECTORS.
All of these facilities have something in common: they usually have large infrastructures that are heavily attacked by high corrosion in coastal areas due to the prevailing environmental conditions.
CORROSION PROTECTION WITH COLD GALVANIZING
Infrastructure in coastal areas must be properly protected to guarantee operational continuity. Metallic infrastructure should initially be galvanized for proper corrosion protection. However, there are circumstances in which this is not possible, and that is why cold galvanizing technology was developed. It is applied like conventional paint; the only requirement is that the surface must have a minimum anchor profile so that the coating adheres correctly.
